Production Officer Level 2 Lower Hawkesbury

Are you a hands on and practical problem solver with an interest in working in the water industryThis is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Sydney Water operating and maintaining our Water Resource Recovery Facilities in a truly diverse and interesting two days are the same!

What will you be doing

As a Production Officer youll play a key role in the safe operation and maintenance of water resource recovery assets and processes to meet Environmental Protection Licences whilst exceeding customer expectations and efficiency targets.

This position includes office and outdoor activities while working with a diverse group of employees. You will be offered formal and on-the-job training to skill you for the role

You will be reporting directly to the Production Manager Lower Hawkesbury Hub where youll contribute to the delivery of high-quality water resource recovery services to local communities. The role will work at our sites across the Hub namely Brooklyn West Hornsby Hornsby Heights and Warriewood.

You will:

• Operating the Facilities in all conditions in alignment with Water Resource Recovery and Sydney Water frameworks including health and safety requirements quality and information management protocols incident response and business continuity frameworks
• Undertaking daily plant performance monitoring and adjust process control parameters
• Contributing to the prioritisation of maintenance and renewals to inform weekly scheduling monthly forecasting and medium to long term planning.
• Executing on-site process and asset checks using available systems processes and procedures

Who are we looking for

• Trade qualifications (electrician / instrumentation specialist or mechanical) or qualificationsin engineering / science or equivalent experience
• Current drivers license and your own vehicle with flexibility to travel across various locations within your hub
• The ability to commit working on a stand-by roster as per site requirements
• Personal drive for continuous improvement and to contribute to a positive team culture
• Experience in production or manufacturing within Water / Wastewater industry is highly advantageous
• Computer skills basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfortable learning customised software packages
