Join our private health and wellnes clinic dedicated to improving employee health through preventive care and occupational health services. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Copper Ridge Workplace Wellness.
Clinical Duties:
- Assist with patient intake including vital signs medical histories referrals and documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
- Prepare patient charts daily ensuring all demographics screenings immunizations and required documents are up to date
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as administering injections and conducting point-of-care tests
- Support preventive care initiatives including health screenings and education
Drug and Alcohol Program Management:
- Administer drug and alcohol testing in compliance with federal and state regulations (e.g. DOT and non-DOT testing)
- Coordinate pre-employment random post-accident and reasonable suspicion testing
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of test results and related documentation
- Serve as a the primary liaison for drug and alcohol program needs
- Ensure all testing procedures and equipment meet regulatory standards
On-the-Job Training
- Receive comprehensive training to become a Program Coordinator for the drug and alcohol screening program
- Gain expertise in compliance testing procedures and program management
Administrative Duties:
- Schedule appointments and manage clinic workflow
- Order and maintain medical supplies and office supplies
- Collaborate with the clinical team to improve efficiency and patient care
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years in a clinical health setting preferred
- Experience with drug and alcohol testing programs is highly desirable but not required
Skills:
- Proficient in EHR systems and basic office software
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities including program coordination
