Job Summary

About the Role:
The Landscape Foreman is responsible for managing and executing landscape and hardscape projects with precision efficiency and professionalism. This hands-on leadership role involves supervising site teams coordinating resources and ensuring projects are delivered to high standards. You will be hands-on running 1-2 projects at time.

  • Salary range is between $85k -$100k Super
  • A car will be considered after passing probation 6 months earlier if promising.

Key Responsibilities Landscape Foreman

  • Lead and manage landscape labourers operators and sub-contractors on-site
  • Coordinate daily tasks workflows and equipment use
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members
  • Monitor and maintain tools machinery and vehicles
  • Read and Implement landscape plans and specifications
  • Monitor progress to ensure meeting program deadlines
  • Oversee installation of softscape (plants turf mulch) and hardscape (paving retaining walls decking irrigation drainage)
  • Conduct site preparation including grading soil preparation and layout
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and PPE use
  • Maintain a clean safe and efficient job site
  • Train and mentor staff in installation best practices
  • Support general maintenance work as needed (mowing pruning planting)
  • Track project expenses and hours worked

Requirements Landscape Foreman

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in landscape construction
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience in hardscape installation and structural landscaping
  • Ability to read and interpret landscape plans
  • Proficient with construction machinery (e.g. loaders mini-excavators skid steers)
  • Knowledge of plants trees shrubs
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Valid drivers license (MR or higher preferred)
  • Punctual professional and dependable

The Landscape Supervisor is a senior leadership role responsible for managing multiple large-scale commercial landscape and hardscape projects concurrently. Based primarily out of head office you will oversee project planning and delivery working closely with internal teams and site crews to ensure projects are completed on time within budget and to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities include developing and tracking project budgets and construction programs managing variations and ensuring compliance across all stages. You will be the key liaison for clients councils engineers subcontractors and consultants maintaining strong working relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Salary range: $100K $120K Super
  • A company vehicle provided upon successful completion of probation or earlier for high-performing candidates.

Key Responsibilities Landscape Supervisor

  • Manage full lifecycle of hard and soft landscaping projects from planning to handover
  • Oversee site teams subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Develop and manage project budgets timelines and programs
  • Coordinate procurement of materials plants and equipment
  • Liaise with clients councils engineers and consultants to ensure project alignment
  • Ensure quality control across all stages of construction and planting
  • Manage WHS compliance and conduct regular site inspections
  • Handle variations scope changes and resolve on-site issues
  • Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders
  • Ensure works are delivered on time on budget and to design specifications

Requirements Landscape Supervisor

  • 510 years experience in landscape construction with a proven track record in managing large-scale commercial projects
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities including the ability to lead multiple teams and subcontractors across sites
  • In-depth knowledge of hardscape construction and structural landscaping including retaining walls paving concrete and drainage systems
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting detailed landscape civil and structural plans
  • Familiarity with construction documentation including programs budgets and variation management
  • Solid understanding of soft landscaping including plant selection horticulture and irrigation systems
  • High-level communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with clients councils engineers and consultants

Desirable:

  • Certificate III in Landscape Construction or Cert III in Horticulture
  • Chemical Application Certificate
  • Carpentry or Structural Landscaping background
  • Experience with ride-on and push mowers whipper snippers hedgers
  • Irrigation and drainage installation experience
