As a Commercial Program Manager you will direct interdepartmental and external team members to ensure all functional departments are on track with project requirements budget constraints deadlines schedules and regulations. Key Responsibilities - Meet with project team members to identify risk and opportunities and resolve issues
- Submit project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to contract requirements and quality standards
- Prepare project status reports by gathering analyzing and summarizing relevant information
- Develop strategies to monitor and control project scope schedule budget and risks and deliverables that support business goals
- Establish and ensure the execution of effective project communication plans.
- Facilitate change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget
- Oversee the development and delivery of monthly project reports customer progress reports customer change proposals and preparation of presentations to management and internal / external customers
- Coordinate the development of user manuals training materials and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the clients
- Identify and developing new opportunities with customers
- Obtain customer acceptance of project deliverables
- Manage customer satisfaction within project transition period
- Conduct post project evaluation lessons learned
Qualifications - Bachelors degree in business engineering or related field is required
- Masters degree in business or related field a plus
- 7 years progressive experience with a strong understanding of formal project management methodologies
- Rail aerospace or heavy industrial manufacturing experience preferred
- 5 years of experience leading groups in a matrixed organization
- Budget management experience required
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Solid organization skills including attention to detail multitasking excellent communication and persuasion skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
