The Criminal Justice Institute (CJI) is a campus of theUniversity of Arkansas Systemthat serves a unique population of non-traditional studentscertified law enforcement professionals who are actively employed within our States police departments and sheriffs offices. Education and/or Experience: Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of the Director of the Criminal Justice Institute.
Possess a Bachelors or greater Degree. A Masters Degree is a preferred minimum.
Possess experience in the area of training education research and project development and implementation
Have a minimum of at least five (5) years of experience at a supervisory level of a law enforcement/criminal justice agency or school district or ten (10) years of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
School Resource Officer experience preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel Access PowerPoint and the Internet.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of instructional principles lesson plans and curricula presentation.
Ability to plan and implement Institute objectives goals and activities.
Ability to develop and present instructional materials to law enforcement officers school administrators and staff and criminal justice officials.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resource and organizational management administrative budgetary and academic practices and procedures.
Ability to plan organize and direct the work of lower-level managers supervisors and non-supervisory employees.
Ability to estimate cost time staffing equipment and material to support current or planned programs projects and operations.
