Sales Consultant
Fire Equipment (Extinguisher Kitchen Suppression/ANSUL Systems and Emergency/Exit Lighting)
The Sales Consultant in our Fire Equipment Division plays a vital role within the Fox Valley Fire & Safety Sales Team serving as the first step in building and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role is responsible for generating sales revenue above quota at targeted gross margins while developing and sustaining a loyal customer base. The Fire Equipment Division includes fire extinguishers kitchen suppression systems and emergency/exit lighting.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who thrives in a relationship-driven sales environment has strong communication skills and is committed to delivering exceptional service while driving growth across new and existing accounts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Produce and return quotes to customers in a timely manner
- Respectfully perform cold calls to potential customers with confidence
- Visit customer sites to establish relationship or maintain/improve existing relationship to build customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Consistently increase sales volume in established profit margin(s)
- Maintain as well as grow existing customer accounts
- Collaborate with internal staff to ensure that equipment or services sold can be completed correctly
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and specific customer requirements
- Communicate with internal staff to ensure the accuracy of customer information for account creation
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in sales with verifiable track record is ideal
- Previous customer service experience is required
- Ability to easily and effectively communicate with customers and internal staff
- Professional communication and presentation to align with Fox Valley Fire & Safetys values and integrity
- Desire and ability to continuously learn and grow within the Fire & Life Safety Industry
- Strong desire to achieve professional goals
- Exceptional self-management and time management
- Responsible reliable with attendance and punctuality uses good judgment
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Valid Drivers License with acceptable driving record is required
This role will include various physical movement throughout offices and customer facilities standing walking sitting phone work computer work at a desk are typical for this position. This role will also include driving to customer sites.
A company vehicle gas card/toll reimbursement laptop and cell phone are provided.
Compensation & Benefits:
This role is 100% commission with an initial base salary offered at $60000. Eventually the role will transition to 100% commission. Fox Valley Fire & Safety Co. will provide accounts assigned within the territory with opportunities for the Sales Consultant to continue to work and bring in future business thus earning additional commission.
