We have a 6-month fixed term opportunity in our People Operations team at NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi. If you are motivated organised and customer focused and looking to start your career in HR then we are keen to hear from you!

Our team of amazing People Operations Specialists provide high quality support on all employee related queries throughout the employment lifecycle. Youll get to be part of a fun supportive team with a great culture. Youll have the opportunity to learn a wide range of HR processes and work with various teams across People & Safety.

To be successful in this role you will bring:

• Experience in an administration coordinator or customer service role
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• High level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to organise multi-task and prioritise
• Experience in an HR role an HR degree or using Workday ServiceNow Sharepoint or Microsoft suite would be an advantage

You will demonstrate knowledge of or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi as it applies in the public sector.
