As the Human Resources Generalist Lead you will assist with the daily operations to ensure all functions are completed. This includes but is not limited to benefits enrollment/administration personnel file compliance new employee orientation and onboarding ensuring all employee files are compliant with company policy and State Federal and Joint Commission Regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Detail-oriented to ensure staff compliance with all applicable policies and regulatory agencies.
- Performs routing tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity recognition and morale; data management; training; policies and practices; occupational health and safety; and training and development
- Implementing offboarding exit interviews and employee recognition programs and determining ways to reduce retention.
- Will work with other HRGs to coordinate processes for employees requesting Reasonable Accommodation Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave workers compensation leave and other leave as applicable
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings terminations and investigations
- Complete assigned tasks and assist the team in completing tasks in a timely efficient and correct manner
- Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates discretion in handling sensitive information and data
- In the absence of the VP of HR and Director of HR will provide guidance to HR Generalist and respond to questions and provide support to the companys management team.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws
- Assist in addressing employee concerns and grievances and promoting a positive work environment.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree in human resources business administration or related field preferred
- HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP / PHR / SPH) preferred
- 5 years of HR generalist/employee relations experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment law (FLSA FMLA ADA Title VII state/local)
- Demonstrated experience in investigations disciplinary actions and conflict resolution
- Excellent verbal written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
- Proficiency with HRIS systems MS Office (especially Excel)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Leadership skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
