Job/Department Summary:

Under general oversight from the College Dean the Administrative Analyst/Specialist administers the financial and personnel resources of the College of Natural Sciences; consisting of 8 departments 3 centers and/or programs with approximately 175 faculty 15 Teaching Associates 40 staff/MPP and 100 student employees and a complex baseline budget totaling $16 Million annually. The incumbent works closely with the Dean Associate Dean and Chairs/Directors to align resources with the Colleges strategic and operational goals and to ensure the college is compliant with Federal State System and institutional policies and procedures for fiscal and personnel actions. This position oversees budget allocations for all departments within the College of Natural Sciences participates in strategic planning for the college and is expected to take initiative work independently and be accountable for work results in planning organizing analyzing and reporting. Additionally this position works collaboratively with managers and staff in the Divisions of Academic Affairs Business and Finance Regional and Continuing Education Human Resources Information Resources University Advancement Student Affairs Public Affairs and Auxiliary Organizations to advance the interests of the College.

Required Education and Experience:

The knowledge skills and abilities listed above would normally be obtained through a bachelors degree and/or full-time equivalent training and three years of administrative work experience involving study analysis and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies procedures practices or programs.

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of general university policies and practices.
  • Advanced math and Excel skills including ability to analyze large data sets preferably using filters pivots or similar database tools.

Time Base: Full-time

Pay Plan: 12/12

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm Summer: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm

CSU Classification Salary Range: $69564 (Step 1) - $101340 (Step 20) per year.
