Job Summary
Position Title: MRI Technologist
Location: New York NY 10025
Duration: 8-Week Contract
Shift: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
Hours per Week: 24 hours (23 days per week possible weekends)
Pay Rate:
Local: $1700/week
Position Summary:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking MRI Technologistfor an exciting job in New York NY.
Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality MRI imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols.
Position patients and MRI coils accurately for optimal imaging results.
Provide clear patient education on exam preparation and procedures.
Review and verify MRI safety questionnaires prior to each scan.
Ensure all images are properly labeled and transmitted to PACS promptly.
Accurately document patient and procedure details in the Radiology Information System (IDX).
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of MRI rooms and equipment.
Monitor and restock necessary imaging supplies.
Report equipment issues or safety concerns to the supervisor.
Assist physicians and other healthcare staff during procedures as needed.
Adhere to safety radiation and infection control standards.
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Maintain all required licensure and certifications in compliance with regulatory standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy MR physics and imaging principles.
Excellent technical skills and patient care abilities.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of MRI experience in a hospital or imaging center setting.
Education & Certification Requirements:
Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T.-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology (required).
ARRT (MRI) certification (required).
BCLS certification (required).
