As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors startups and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs technical credentials and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability
Advanced in Python programming with the ability to write clean efficient and maintainable code. Experience with database management and optimization ensuring robust and scalable data solutions
Strong experience in developing web applications using Django and Django REST Framework with a focus on building scalable and maintainable APIs
Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
Strong experience in developing web applications using Django and Django REST Framework with a focus on building scalable and maintainable APIs
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
Experience with document-oriented database products: MongoDB MarkLogic DocumentDB etc
Practical experience of architecting & developing applications or platformson any one of the major public cloud providers (AWS Google Azure).
Knowledge and experience of industry wide technology strategies and best practices

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

Experience with CI/CD automation preferably includingJenkins Bamboo and/or Spinnaker
Experience with BDDand Cucumber
Infrastructure-as-code experience Terraform Ansible Puppet and/or Salt
Industry cloud certifications are a bonus
Proven expertise in designing deploying and managing containerized applications using Kubernetes with a strong understanding of orchestration and scaling strategies.
Demonstrated ability to architect and manage infrastructure on AWS Cloud utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to automate and optimize deployment processes.
Proven experience in designing and implementing control plane architectures for large-scale applications focusing on efficient resource management orchestration and system reliability to support complex distributed systems.
