Validates deficiencies in medical records and issues notifications to providers department leaders and managed care organizations.
Provides education and onboarding support for new medical staff including refresher training for existing providers.
Prepares and maintains escalation lists for incomplete or inaccurate records.
Reviews and re-analyzes provider lists to confirm accuracy and compliance with timely filing standards.
Collaborates with internal departments to support consistent compliant medical record documentation and workflow efficiency.
Additional Job Description
Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.
Strong attention to detail with working knowledge of medical record documentation standards and healthcare regulations.
Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Prior experience in health information management or related medical records work preferred.
