Monday- Friday 10:30am-9:00 pm (overtime as needed; hours vary per volume; shift would start earlier for overtime opportunities)

A Day in the Life

  • Receive and handle incoming raw materials
  • Facilitate the movement of materials including hazardous materials across the site
  • Maintain accurate inventory through receipts adjustments and cycle counts
  • Successfully implement safety and operational protocols
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily goals

Education

High school diploma or equivalent experience required.

Experience

  • No previous work experience required
  • Preferred: Experience in distribution warehouse supply chain or related field
  • Preferred: Experience with warehouse equipment

Knowledge Skills Abilities

  • Skilled at independent work and task prioritization
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Knowledge of methods to handle process and store specimens using a computerized system

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Capable of operating in cold conditions with exposure to dry ice liquid nitrogen cryogenics hazardous substances and infectious agents
  • Must apply personal protective equipment (PPE) and strictly follow safety protocols
  • Able to lift and carry 50 lbs and push up to 70 lbs
  • Periodically work in walk-in freezers and refrigerators for up to 5 hours per day

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $13.82$23.04.
