The Area Maintenance Manager will lead a team of facilities associates and ensure a safe working environment for all.

Key job responsibilities
- Dedicated to supporting multi-site production by working in a safe customer-focused manner; and must be highly self-motivated and customer-centric
- Develop and design solutions to difficult problems manage outside contractors and be on call for emergencies
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs and positive working relationships with operations
- Handle multiple projects and daily activities meet deadlines and develop plans on how to accomplish departmental and distribution goals
- Ensuring that all safety programs and procedures are followed develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs and good working relationships with operations
- Develop business plans and provide guidance and direction for the successful implementation of those plans
- Help to develop set and track budgets
- Understand and implement safety programs
- Successful candidates must have the ability to provide enriched feedback to enhance individual performance provide associates with written performance appraisals including discipline and up to termination
- Mentor all facilities associates by motivating and providing direction to help them achieve their goals and make a consistent effort to go above and beyond
- Project planning and cost analysis
- The Area Maintenance Manager promotes and conducts good housekeeping
- Bachelors degree or 2 years of Amazon experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area including weekends nights and/or holidays
- 1 years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- Bachelors degree or above in Industrial Mechanical Civil Engineering or other related discipline
- Experience managing and leading employees
- Experience in project management
- Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory
- Experience with Blueprint and electrical schematic reading
- Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks
- Experience in preventative maintenance systems
- Experience in automated conveyors systems and controls electrical and electronic principles preventative maintenance procedures blueprint and schematic reading industrial electrical industrial controls industrial electronics Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs National Electrical Code (NEC) work order management
- Experience leading Controls in manufacturing or complex industrial environments
- Willing to travel up to 50 miles to different sites

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $82600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
