Oaks Auckland Hotel is looking for a full-time Reservations Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service from behind the scenes.
You will play a vital role in managing and coordinating all aspects of the reservations process. From individual bookings to corporate and group stays your attention to detail organisation and communication will ensure a smooth and efficient guest journey before they even arrive.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinate all aspects of the reservation process from enquiry to confirmation ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Act as the primary contact for group and corporate bookings maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Report directly to the Hotel Manager keeping them informed of all reservation activities and trends.
- Support and train front office staff on reservation procedures and systems to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Upsell hotel services and offerings during the booking process to enhance guest experience and maximise revenue.
- Assist the front desk team with guest service as required.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and greater operational efficiency.
- Ensure all health safety and security protocols are followed in line with company policy.
Shift Details (subject to change):
- Full time position
- Monday to Friday
- 9.00am to 5.30pm
Qualifications :
Successful candidates will have:
- Previous experience in a reservations or front office role preferably within a hotel environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and proficiency with Opera (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with guests clients and team members.
- A proactive and solution-focused mindset with a high level of organisation and attention to detail.
- A confident and approachable personality with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as rostered.
