As a Commis I you will be an integral part of our kitchen operations assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes while learning from experienced chefs in a dynamic and diverse culinary environment.
- Assist in food preparation activities including washing peeling chopping and portioning ingredients
- Follow recipes and cooking instructions accurately under the guidance of senior chefs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas kitchen equipment and utensils
- Assist in the implementation of food safety and hygiene standards including HACCP guidelines
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service operations
- Support in the preparation of mise en place for various stations in the kitchen
- Assist in plating and presentation of dishes according to established standards
- Participate in regular team meetings and briefings
- Contribute to maintaining proper inventory levels and minimizing food waste
- Adapt to changes in menu items and cooking techniques as required by the culinary team
Qualifications :
- Passion for culinary arts and a strong desire to learn and grow in the field
- Basic knowledge of various cooking techniques and flavor profiles
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced high-pressure kitchen environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Detail-oriented approach to food preparation and presentation
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Basic food safety and hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain)
