Position Summary
We seek highly motivated and qualified candidates for a full-time faculty position at a rank commensurate with experience to join the Community Health Science & Policy Program ( CHSP ) in the School of Public Health ( SPH ). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the launch and development of our new Master of Public Health ( MPH ) program with a concentration in CHSP on the Louisiana State University Baton Rouge campus. Responsibilities include assisting in developing and teaching graduate-level courses in community health health communications health policy behavioral health theory health program development and evaluation public health project management and more. The new faculty member will be expected to contribute to the curriculum design and implementation of the MPH program and mentor and advise MPH students in their academic progress. Additional activities include participating in service activities at the departmental college and university levels and collaborating with public health agencies and community organizations to foster practical learning experiences for students. Successful candidates will receive a competitive salary. Applicants must hold a doctorate degree in a public health discipline. Evidence of teaching excellence in higher education preferably at the graduate level. Additional experience or interest in program development is highly desirable along with expertise in innovative teaching methodologies including online and hybrid course delivery.
