ResponsibilitiesRequired Skills
- Operating Systems:
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix administration (file systems permissions processes networking logs).
- Basic Windows Server administration (IIS Active Directory registry PowerShell).
- Compute & Virtualization:
- Knowledge of OCI Compute instances (provisioning shapes custom images boot volumes block volumes).
- Familiarity with virtualization concepts (hypervisors CPU pinning memory allocation).
- Experience with instance troubleshooting e.g. boot failures kernel panics networking misconfigurations.
- Networking:
- Deep understanding of VPC concepts subnets route tables internet gateways service gateways.
- IP routing DNS DHCP VLANs and security lists/NSGs.
- Troubleshooting connectivity issues using tools likepingtraceroutenslookuptcpdump etc.
- Storage & Block Volumes:
- Familiarity with block storage object storage and file storage services.
- Mounting volumes handling I/O errors and resizing storage.
- Scripting & Automation:
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python Shell scripting or PowerShell.
Preferred Skills (Optional):
- Project Management Skills: Basic project management skills to plan execute and manage projects effectively including requirements gathering resource allocation scheduling and progress tracking.
- Be able to read various logs and identify issues.
