Weve built a trusted position in the talent market working with some of the most exciting scaleups and enterprises in the Nordics and beyond. Now were entering our next phase and we need a strong internal foundation to match our external ambitions. Thats where you come in.

The Role
As Head of People & Operations youll play a central role in shaping how Amby runs and grows. Youll be part of the leadership group and lead managers across our Norwegian organization. Youll own the full employee journey at Amby from recruitment and onboarding to growth and retention.

This role is about strengthening and evolving what we already have the people and operational backbone that powers everything we do. Its strategic in scope but hands-on in execution. Youll manage a 50% Operations Assistant and work closely with the COO and leadership team to make sure Amby runs smarter faster and with more clarity every day.

Youll ensure our people strategy and business strategy move in sync creating real business impact. Our internal people function should set the bar as the blueprint for how modern HR is done using AI technology and data to connect people strategy with business outcomes.

  • Core people processes run reliably on time and at a high standard
  • A clear performance culture that builds alignment ownership and results across teams
  • Operations are structured efficient and continuously improving to support both people and clients

What Youll Do

  • Lead and develop Ambys People Strategy in line with company goals
  • Be hands-on in overseeing all people processes including recruitment onboarding performance reviews promotions engagement surveys compensation reviews and compliance
  • Drive leadership development and make sure people management happens through our managers
  • Build a clear performance culture where structure accountability and development go hand in hand
  • Oversee operations including systems access management vendor contracts and workflows (together with the Ops Assistant)
  • Improve processes reporting structures and cross-team collaboration for efficiency and clarity
  • Act as a close advisor to the COO and leadership team on organization performance and people priorities

Who You Are
You bring a strong understanding of people and how great organizations are built. Connecting people work with business goals feels natural to you and you know how to create structures that support real growth. You set direction dive into details when needed and lead with clarity and trust.

You likely have:

  • A proven ability to connect people and operations to business outcomes
  • Experience leading people processes and improving organizational structure
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional work
  • Excellent communication skills and good business judgment
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian both written and spoken
