Job Title: IBM i AS400 Technical Lead

Location Evansville Indiana (Onsite)

Contract

Mandatory Skills : AS/400AS400 - CobolCL/400

Experience Minimum 9 years up to 13 years in IBM i AS400 technical delivery

Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Technical Lead with strong expertise handson experience in IBM i AS400 technologies The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in COBOL DB2 RPG and CL programming along with excellent client interaction skills and a strong focus on quality delivery and governance.

Key Responsibilities

iSeries Development Expertise in technologies such as ILE COBOL ILE CL database DB2
Knowledge of iSeries APIs Data queues User queues multithreading Journaling and IBM iSeries file systems such as Library based system etc
Experience with SQL and MQ Series is a plus
Functional Requirements and Perform Requirement Analysis
Estimate and Monitor Estimates
Work with Business teams to prioritize work
Prepare detailed design documentation
Reporting and tracking of assignments
Fix high priority issues

Required Skills Experience

Excellent communication stakeholder management and problemsolving skills
Strong knowledge of IBM i AS400 COBOL CL RPG and DB2
COBOL400 COBOL ILE
SQL400 Query400 Strong working knowledge in DB2400
ILE Concepts
Display Files Sub Files Printer Files
Embedded SQL

Additional Skills

Aldon MQ Series is a plus Worked on production support added advantage

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in financial services lending domain
Knowledge of Agile Scrum and traditional SDLC methodologies
Exposure to modernization tools or microservices even at concept level
