Production Planning Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:
The role of Supervisor Production Planning will lead the planning team in developing and
executing efficient production schedules. This role ensures that manufacturing operations
run smoothly by aligning production plans with material availability capacity constraints
and customer demands by using and implementing their strong analytical skills leadership
experience and deep knowledge of production planning processes and systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and/or RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise and lead a team of production planners to ensure timely and efficient
production scheduling.
Develop and oversee short- and long-term production plans based on customer
orders forecasts and inventory levels.
Monitor work-in-progress and coordinate with manufacturing teams to manage
capacity and resolve production bottlenecks.
Collaborate with production purchasing warehouse sales engineering and
quality teams to ensure material availability and on-time delivery.
Maintain and optimize planning parameters in ERP/MRP systems (e.g. lead times
lot sizes safety stock).
Analyze production data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement and reduce
delays or waste.
Communicate scheduling changes and priorities to relevant departments in a timely
and effective manner.
Participate in Sales & Operations Planning processes and contribute to demand
planning discussions.
Ensure planning activities align with safety quality and regulatory requirements.
Train and mentor planning team members manage goal setting for your team and
conduct performance reviews and skill development per Nittos process.
Approves the production plan and production trials to achieve and optimal
productivity and inventory levels.
Ensure safety stock levels are maintained based on customer and internal risk
mitigation requirements.
Supports the resolution of material manpower machine or planning issues that
may influence on-time delivery

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in supply chain management Operations Industrial Engineering
or a related field.
5 years related production planning/scheduling in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of MRP system; JDE applications preferred.
At least 1 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:
This role supervises one Production Planner team member.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:
In-depth knowledge of production planning principles capacity planning and
inventory management.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (JDE preferred).
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with planning tools.
Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced
environment.
Ability to work independently under pressure.
Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Good understanding of the industry market trends and conditions.
Strong regard for product quality and safety standards.
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.

Microsoft 365; JD Edwards or similar ERP/MRP system

APICS Certification preferred

While performing the duties of this job the Associate is regularly required to sit; use

Work is typically performed in an office environment and a manufacturing floor.
