THE OPPORTUNITY:The King County Department of Assessments Office is looking for a Section Supervisor who is a dynamic people leader who possesses the professional analytical and mathematical skills to oversee and manage the workload of a high-volume team performing routine special and well-defined property tax exemptions. This closed promotionalassignment is open to all King County Employees CareerServiceor Career Service-exempt employees who have successfully completed probation.
This position will be a mix of individual contribution production oversight strategic planning and process improvement. The primary focus will be on producing timely and accurate exemption processing through a team of people technology enhancements and various internal and external partnerships. This position reports to the Accounting Division Director oversees a team processing tens of thousands of exemption transactions annually and partners with the division agency and external personnel. The work of this team contributes significantly to the overall accuracy of the property tax roll by applying exemptions timely and accurately. This position is integral to our commitment to be one of The Best Assessment Departments in North America.
