Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Technician
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 2 Years (Possible Extension)
Location: St. Paul MN 55114
Shift: 1st Shift (8:00 AM 4:30 PM)
Overview:
Supports manufacturing engineering operations process control and product assembly by planning and executing tests performing data analysis and ensuring process and product quality. Provides hands-on build integration and troubleshooting of electromechanical assemblies and supports production planning defect elimination and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build integrate and test electro-mechanical assemblies (cameras gimbals sensors).
- Support design for manufacturing and documentation updates.
- Manage CCA programming wiring optical assembly and system testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve faults or defects; ensure defect-free output.
- Coordinate with contract manufacturers and internal engineers on documentation QA and design changes.
- Maintain and repair plant machinery; ensure operational safety and compliance.
- Collect and analyze process data identify improvements and maintain documentation accuracy.
- May lead or support technical and change management sessions.
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics.
- Proficiency in PTC Creo (1 year).
- Part 107 certification within 3 months of employment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Word Excel PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and spend 75% of the day on feet.
Preferred Experience:
- Assembly or production background (open to recent graduates).
- Experience with process improvement quality systems or contract manufacturing coordination.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and lead small project initiatives.
Additional Details:
- Liaison role between production engineering and QA teams.
- Handles technical data packages and documentation for assemblies.
- May travel locally (within 30 miles) using a personal vehicle.
