We are currently hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager II (CNM II) Oncology for a Hospital in Cork Ireland.
Provide clinical leadership and management to the oncology nursing team ensuring high standards of patient care and professional practice.
Oversee the daily operations of the oncology unit ensuring safe and effective delivery of treatments and adherence to hospital policies.
Coordinate patient care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams ensuring continuity and quality of service.
Support mentor and develop nursing staff through supervision training and performance evaluation.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control medication management and health and safety standards.
Participate in clinical audits quality improvement initiatives and implementation of evidence-based practice.
Manage resources efficiently including staffing supplies and equipment to ensure optimal service delivery.
Handle and resolve patient and staff issues promptly maintaining a positive and professional working environment.
Contribute to policy development strategic planning and service improvement within the oncology department.
Deputise for the Assistant Director of Nursing or Nurse Manager when required ensuring continuity of leadership and care.
Requirements
Registered in the General Division of the live register of nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Minimum of 35 years post-registration experience in Oncology.
Postgraduate qualification in Oncology/Haematology Nursing and completion of a management course are essential.
Minimum of 2 years management experience in a healthcare setting is essential.
Proven track record in nursing management at a senior level.
Experience in preceptorship teaching and assessing students and junior staff.
Demonstrated experience in service improvement and development initiatives.
Strong leadership problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution in clinical operational and interpersonal situations.
Comprehensive knowledge of nurse management principles and practices.
Familiarity with Quality Frameworks within Irish health services and experience with Accreditation processes.
Excellent interpersonal communication and team-building skills.
