Job Summary

Our client is growing and looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to support earthwork site development and civil construction projects. This role involves operating a range of equipment with precision awareness of site conditions and a strong focus on safety and production.

Responsibilities

Operate excavators dozers wheel loaders backhoes skid steers and graders
Perform rough and fine grading trenching excavation and material moving
Read grade stakes site layouts and follow directions from foremen and superintendents
Conduct daily pre-op inspections and report equipment issues
Assist with minor equipment adjustments and fluid checks
Work alongside laborers and field crews to meet production goals
Maintain safe operating practices on active construction sites
Follow project plans safety procedures and environmental standards

Equipment Experience (Preferred)

Excavators CAT Komatsu John Deere Hitachi
Dozers John Deere CAT Case
Skid Steers & Loaders Bobcat CAT Volvo
Graders & Rollers Deere Hamm Sakai
Off-road trucks and site haul equipment

Qualifications

Experience operating heavy construction equipment across multiple job types
Ability to work from grade stakes plans and supervisory direction
Knowledge of jobsite safety trenching and equipment operation standards
Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions
Valid drivers license; CDL is a plus
GPS machine control experience is a bonus but not required
