CLASSIFICATION: SUPPORT STAFF

JOB TITLE: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT I - TECHNOLOGY

CALENDAR: 2611 (12 MONTHS)

SALARY: GRADE 116 (SUPPORT HOURLY)

Job Goal:

Independently perform administrative duties requiring sound judgment and a thorough understanding of District policies and procedures. Assisting the Director(s) and department by assuming responsibility for the overall operation of the department and maintaining good public relations with students parents staff and the general public.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with emphasis on business or administrative coursework
  • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative experience preferably in a school or educational setting
  • Proficient typing skills with accuracy and acceptable speed; ability to take dictation if required
  • Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite Google Workspace or similar platforms with the ability to learn new software
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with students parents staff and the public
  • Thorough understanding of and adherence to District policies regulations and procedures
  • Adequate vision and hearing to safely and effectively perform job responsibilities

Core Job Functions:

  • Perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties including filing typing transcribing and preparing reports bulletins memoranda and correspondence
  • Receive visitors answer and screen phone calls and provide information regarding school policies and procedures
  • Schedule appointments maintain calendars and coordinate meetings and activities for school and external groups
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling correspondence reports and sensitive materials
  • Oversee daily operations of the front office and assist staff with clerical support as needed
  • Communicate effectively with parents students and staff to resolve issues not requiring administrator attention
  • Maintain financial statistical and other records; collect and account for funds from various sources
  • Order inventory and disburse supplies and equipment
  • Create and manage purchase requisitions and ensure compliance with P-Card usage policies and procedures
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail for the department
  • Prepare presentations and reports for internal and external use
  • Support classroom additions technology rollouts and facility updates as needed
  • Accurately track and submit employee time records serving as the designated Time and Attendance Administrator in accordance with district payroll procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the department
