Job Summary
Ray Laethem is a fast paced automotive dealership we are currently looking for a detail oriented and dependable Costing Clerk. As a Costing Clerk you will be responsible for accurately posting and finalizing all vehicle sales dealers into the accounting system. This role is critical in ensuring inventory records and financial data are accurate. The ideal candidates will have a background in accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and cost all vehicle sales (new used wholesale and dealer trades)
- Post deals into the dealership management system (DMS) accurately and in a timely manner
- Verify all documents in the deal jacket for completeness and compliance
- Calculate commissions taxes and fees correctly based on deal structure
- Reconcile inventory and ensure sold units are removed from stock
- Communicate with sales managers finance department and accounting team as needed
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficient with computers and technology
