Resident Technical Officer, M&E

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Resident Technical Officer (Mechanical & Electrical) to join our team in Singapore Singapore under 2-years this role you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of the mechanical and electrical systems of our project:

• Good co-ordination skills and good technical knowledge of M&E systems/ equipment including security systems
• To carry out regular site supervision and inspection of the works/materials including any off-site production as instructed by the consultant team so as to ensure that mechanical and electrical works including security systems are constructed to required quality accuracy and workmanship
• To monitor work in progress in accordance to Approved Master Schedules with breakdown to Monthly Weekly and Daily programmes
• To assist the RE on daily weekly and monthly reports of site progress as per contractors approved program activities issues and resolutions
• To check and verify reports variaations and progress claims submitted by contractors including as built quantity for the variations
• To undertake any other duties related to the project as and when instructed by the SO and RE.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical systems maintenance or facility management
• Proven experience in overseeing construction projects particularly in M&E systems and security systems
• Strong knowledge of building codes regulations and safety standards relevant to M&E systems
• Experience with quality control processes and methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick informed decisions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with contractors consultants and team members
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Proficiency in English both written and verbal
