Financial Control Team Leader

As the Financial Control Team Leader you will act as the 2IC to the Senior Manager Group Finance and play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the NRMA Groups financial statements general ledgers and reconciliations. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assist in prioritising and coordinating the activities of the Financial Control team
• Manage timelines for internal and external reporting including Board updates management committees audits and disclosures
• Interpret new accounting standards and regulatory requirements assess their impact and recommend policy changes
• Assist with the preparation of monthly reporting statutory accounts and external disclosures
• Oversee the month-end Group Timetable and monitor achievement of deadlines across the Group
• Manage the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process
• Provide ongoing financial accounting support and evidence-informed analysis to stakeholders
• Support projects with accounting treatment advice and remain up to date with changes in accounting standards

What Youll Bring

• Bachelors degree in finance accounting or a related discipline
• Post-graduate professional accreditation (CA or CPA Australia)
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within a medium to large organisation
• Experience managing a small team
• Advanced stakeholder management and coordination skills
• Strong technical knowledge of Australian International Financial Reporting Standards
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communication presentation and organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
