Role Overview
We are seeking an HR & Financial Operations Manager to manage core business functions spanning human resources payroll billing and financial coordination. This role serves as a key bridge between our people operations and financial systems ensuring accuracy compliance and operational excellence while supporting the CFO and leadership team.
The ideal candidate is organized analytical and thrives in a fast-paced high-accountability environment.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting Support
- Reconcile bank credit card and vendor accounts weekly.
- Track and manage employee billable hours across projects.
- Generate and issue customer invoices and record incoming payments.
- Support the CFO with financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate organized and auditable records.
Payroll & HR Administration
- Process weekly and monthly payroll using QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.
- Manage timecards PTO and deductions with accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll laws.
- Administer Simple IRA contributions and employee benefits.
- Oversee all HR processes in BambooHR including employee records and compliance.
- Lead onboarding offboarding and policy administration.
- Coordinate recruiting and employee engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
- 35 years of experience in HR bookkeeping or finance operations.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll BambooHR and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and HR compliance.
- Skilled at managing billing reconciliations and people systems.
- High attention to detail confidentiality and communication.
Preferred:
- Experience in manufacturing or professional services.
- Familiarity with job-costing and billable-hour systems.
- HR certification or accounting is a plus.
