Data Engineer

Your Role and Responsibilities
- Design and optimize enterprise-level data architecture models and pipelines across multiple business units.
- Create data engineering guidelines oversee implementation and ensure best practices in data integration and cleansing.
- Develop scalable data solutions including ETL/ELT frameworks data lakes BI tools and master data management systems.
- Lead data-related application development and collaborate with architecture analytics and compliance teams to deliver aligned solutions.
- Manage and evaluate vendor deliverables to maintain quality and cost efficiency.
- Partner with business and technology teams to enhance the data foundation and enable analytics-driven decisions.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- 10 years of experience in IT and data management; 8 years in the insurance or financial domain preferred.
- Strong experience in data architecture and delivery both on-premise and cloud (AWS Azure Snowflake).
- Proficiency in database and big data technologies (Oracle Sybase Hadoop Kafka Spark MongoDB).
- Programming skills in Python Java or Scala.
- Fluent in English and Japanese (JLPT N2 or above).
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- AWS / Salesforce / ITIL certifications.
- BI tools experience (Tableau Power BI).
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum Kanban).
- Strong communication problem-solving and leadership skills with vendor management experience.
