Job Summary

LaGrange College seeks to fill a tenure-line position at the assistant or associate professor level in musical theatre and theatre arts beginning August 1 2026.

An MFA with professional experience in the field is required. Candidates should have experience directing/choreographing both musicals and straight plays and a record of effective teaching of both musical theatre and theatre arts courses.

The successful candidate will teach a range of musical theatre and theatre arts courses; direct and/or choreograph in our production season; coach majors in scene study solo and audition techniques; and prepare majors for regional and national auditions. Vigorous recruitment of new students in both majors is key to the position. The successful candidate must also be a strong energetic leader good communicator and collaborator invested in growing our musical theatre and theatre arts programs and actively recruiting and mentoring students.
