About your new role
An exciting leadership opportunity exists for an experienced Theatre Nurse Unit Manager to join our professional dynamic and growing Surgical Services team in our state-of-the-art theatre complex at Fitzroy.
In this pivotal role you will:
Lead the commissioning of brand-new operating theatres
Oversee the day-to-day operational management of the Theatre Department.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient care and optimal service delivery.
Partner closely with the Surgical Services Manager to achieve key performance indicators deliver strategic objectives and drive business growth.
This is a full-time 38-hour-per-week position that offers a rare opportunity to shape the future of Theatre Services at SVPHM.

About you
You are a Registered Nurse (AHPRA) with:
Minimum 2 years experience in theatre management or leadership
Post-graduate qualifications (completed or in progress)
Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on collaboration and quality improvement
Your key strengths include:
Managing the operational and clinical performance of a busy theatre unit
Building and maintaining effective relationships with staff VMPs and patients
Providing direction coaching and support to nursing and support teams
Managing budgets and analysing performance data to inform decision-making
