The Department of Accounting in the Jennings A. Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a professor of practice faculty position (non-tenurable) at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The start date for the position is August 1 2026.
As part of a nationally recognized AACSB-accredited college we prepare students for success in a rapidly changing business environment through innovative teaching professional engagement and strong industry partnerships. The successful candidate will be creative supportive and adaptable to the ever-changing market. The professor of practice will participate in academic programs by providing professional services exposing students to their professional expertise and directing students educational experiences in professional settings. We seek an experienced accounting professional who will contribute to the departments mission by delivering high-quality instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate (.) levels as well as engaging in professional and service more information on our program visithttps:// Responsibilities
A masters or terminal degree in accounting or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate hours in accounting is required by the appointment date.
Ten (10) years of professional accounting experience is required.
