Are you ready to work hands-on with some of the most advanced thin-film processing and vacuum deposition tools in the semiconductor industry
Join our team in Manassas VA as a Semiconductor Field Service Technician III where youll support maintain and troubleshoot Anelva PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) tools used by top-tier semiconductor manufacturers worldwide.

This is a customer-facing technical field service role that offers the opportunity to work with precision vacuum systems robotics and control software. Youll receive world-class training starting with 36 months in Japan and gain valuable experience in a cleanroom high-tech environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on PVD and vacuum semiconductor equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair vacuum pneumatic pump and robotics-related issues.
  • Calibrate monitor and maintain high-vacuum systems to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Collect and report data on software and hardware performance; collaborate with engineers in the U.S. and Japan.
  • Install and update control software; maintain detailed revision and service records.
  • Support new equipment installations and ensure operational readiness.
  • Train and assist customer engineering teams on equipment operation and best practices.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of spare and consumable parts.
  • Follow cleanroom safety and customer compliance protocols at all times.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • 2 years of experience working with vacuum or PVD systems in the semiconductor industry.
  • Strong understanding of vacuum technology pneumatic systems and robotics.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems and control software preferred.
  • Excellent analytical diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently after initial training.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and the ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs and work in a cleanroom environment wearing full PPE.
  • Bilingual (Japanese/English) communication skills are a plus but not required.
