AMHC is currently hiring a part-time (24 hours/week) Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence and inclusion in their communities at St. John Valley Associates in Madawaska.
What Youll Do:
- Provide hands-on support with daily activities personal care and life skills
- Assist with community involvement recreation and employment opportunities
- Support individuals in achieving their person-centered goals
- Ensure a safe respectful and supportive environment
- Act as a mentor advocate and role model in everyday situations
- Drive individuals to activities or appointments using an agency vehicle

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
The DSP certification is provided upon hire and must be achieved within 6 months of employment.
First Aid CPR MANDT and CRMA are required and provided by the agency at the time of hire. Employees are required to maintain all certifications to remain in good standing.
An active passport is preferred.
