Job Summary

BAYADA Hospice is seeking a compassionate and motivatedBereavement Coordinator to join our hospice leadership this role you will lead the coordination and delivery of bereavement services to families and loved ones ensuring that every individual receives the highest standard of emotional and spiritual support following a loss. Youll partner closely with our interdisciplinary hospice team to develop manage and evaluate bereavement programs that reflect The BAYADA Way compassion excellence and reliability. The Bereavement Coordinator will reliably serve patients inNJ PA and AZ.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the bereavement services program including professional staff and volunteer coordination.
  • Develop implement and evaluate bereavement programs that support families through all stages of grief.
  • Create educational and support materials for patients families staff and community members on topics of grief loss and coping.
  • Plan facilitate and supervise bereavement support groups memorial services and community events.
  • Oversee bereavement follow-up conducted by patient care staff and volunteers to ensure timeliness and quality of support.
  • Partner with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure volunteers are properly trained and integrated into bereavement activities.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and lead the bereavement component of discussions.
  • Support the hospice office team through collaboration problem-solving and providing on-call coverage as needed.
  • Maintain program documentation reporting and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Represent BAYADA Hospice in community outreach and educational efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required; preferred in Social Work Psychology Counseling Theology or a related field.
  • Previous experience in hospice palliative care or grief counseling strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Strong interpersonal organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver educational presentations and support materials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
