The Marketing Specialist for Campus Recreation under unit supervision prepares coordinates and creates print and online media. The specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer service to all Campus Recreation programming participants while serving as an ambassador of Campus Recreation by working to increase student engagement and promote programs throughout campus. This position reports directly to the Director of Campus Recreation and will report indirectly to the Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).

This is an on-site position located in Stephenville Texas with normal work hours of Monday to Friday; from 8 AM to 5PM or as business needs indicate. This position requires a flexible work schedule which at times will require frequent attendance during evenings weekends and some holidays. Additional hours may be required during peak periods.

A portfolio of previous work samples will be requested.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as point of contact for unit-based clients.

  • Reviews and approves art materials copy materials and proofs of printed copies. Reviews illustrative material.

  • Confers with unit-based clients to determine job specifications.

  • Formulates basic layout and ensures conformity with Graphic Identity Standards.

  • Maintains website.

  • Maintains Graphic Identity Standards University Publications Guidelines and Social Media Guidelines.

  • Creates graphic design projects prints advertisements and assists with social media electronic communications.

  • Provides photography and video services.

  • Maintains media files for publications or presentations. Oversees photoshoots and print sessions.

  • May supervise students as assigned.

  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing communications English journalism or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two years of related experience.

Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong writing editing and organizational skills

  • Proven ability to generate imaginative solutions.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others while also maintaining the ability to work independently on projects; Interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of graphic design photography web design and social media.

  • Planning and organizational skills.

  • Supervisory skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Salary Range:

The target base annual salary range is $44000 to $46000 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
