Description
Role: Warehouse Manager
Reports To: Branch Manager
Job Summary: The Warehouse Manager will establish and implement short and long-range objectives for the assigned departments oversee related functions and activities and administer company policies and procedures within the Warehouse/Operations Departments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- May assist branch management in the hiring and training of new Warehouse staff.
- Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day workflow of staff within the Warehouse Departments.
- As requested by the Branch Manager conduct or assist with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Assists the Branch Manager with employment actions including discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Monitors departmental performance identifying and facilitating opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Manages daily aspects of the branch and its staff to ensure projects goals and customer needs are met.
- Collaborates with Department Managers and Branch Manager to plan direct and coordinate programs and projects.
- Collaborates with Branch Manager to analyze costs benefits and losses of company profit.
- Drafts submits and presents various performance and management reports.
- Assists in the management of inventory facilitating purchases as needed and verifies costs and receipts.
- Manages conflicts and resolves complaints within the Warehouse Departments.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Branch Manager.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to create and present ideas reports and budgets in various formats.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to assign and delegate tasks.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to navigate to various departments in a safe and timely manner
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
