Job Summary

Description

The DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in designing building and maintaining scalable secure and highly available infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines across cloud environments. This position supports the Technical and Cloud Services group in delivering automation-first solutions that enhance the reliability performance and efficiency of applications serving courts and public safety organizations. The engineer will collaborate closely with development QA and operations teams to streamline deployment processes and ensure seamless delivery of software products.
Hybrid Work Policy - The new hire is required to work from the office Tuesdays-Thursdays with flex days to work from home on Monday and Fridays.

Responsibilities

  • Design implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Manage and optimize cloud environments (AWS Azure or GCP) to ensure performance scalability and cost-efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring alerting and logging systems (e.g. CloudWatch DataDog ELK Stack) to proactively detect and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the software development lifecycle.
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis for production issues implementing preventive measures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance deployment velocity system reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation for infrastructure processes and procedures to support knowledge sharing and compliance.

Qualifications

Required

  • BS/BA in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP acceptable).
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell Bash or Python.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of networking security best practices and system administration (Windows and Linux).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies: Visual Studio C# SQL Server IIS.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g. DataDog CloudWatch SolarWinds).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.

Preferred

  • Experience Framework and web development practices.
  • Familiarity with tools like Octopus Deploy Hangfire RabbitMQ and ElasticSearch.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (e.g. JIRA Microsoft CRM).
  • Exposure to performance tuning and cost optimization strategies in cloud environments.
