Quality Staffing Inc. also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search a leading full-service employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the areas top companies is seeking experienced Building Maintenance Workers/Painters to work through our agency as a contract employee with the State of Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (TN MHSAS) located in Chattanooga TN. This is an on-site position working from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday. The pay rate for this position is $21.50 per hour.
Building Maintenance Worker/Painter Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing surfaces for painting.
- Mixing and applying paints and coatings.
- Selecting tools and materials needed for the task.
- Protecting surrounding objects while painting.
- Repairing surfaces prior to painting.
- Applying protective or decorative finishes using brushes or spray guns.
- Maintaining a clean workspace and completing jobs on time.
- May have additional responsibilities of general maintenance duties.
Experience and Qualifications Required for Building Maintenance Worker/Painter position:
- Graduate of an accredited high school or equivalent.
- Experience equivalent to one year of full-time labor and trades work including some building maintenance and painting work.
- General knowledge of tools materials and equipment used in general grounds and/or maintenance work.
- Knowledge of safety precautions applicable to operating grounds and/or maintenance equipment.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions.
- Valid Tennessee drivers license.
- Work requires climbing balancing stooping reaching standing walking pushing lifting and grasping.
- Good communication skills are required for expressing or exchanging ideas.
