Staff Management Group is seeking a Purchasing Specialist for our client in Somerset NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

1st Shift: 6AM 2:30PM
Monday - Friday

Pay Rate:

$22 / hour

Job Summary:

The Purchasing Specialist provides purchasing expertise and support promotes purchasingguidelines and exchange of best practices and experience amongst brands to developprofessional purchasing.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain responsibility for monitoring/creating purchase orders for appropriate vendorsthrough the NetSuite-MRP system.
Managing MRP planning workbench and material planning for all materials.
Ensure delivery of materials OTIF
Confirm supplier delivery dates for purchasing material and expedite orders whennecessary. Access and input revision (e.g. quantity ship date) to update MRP reports.
Support cost reduction initiatives notably sourcing indirect materials.
Procure a discrete group of SKUs with guidance from Supply Chain Management.
Collaborate with project managers and/or appropriate personnel to ensure NetSuite isset up with all new codes for proper system planning the ability to cut POs andreporting.
Follow up with the project manager in charge of wholesale to make sure all promotionsholiday and promos are included in the workbench.
Provide a 12-month rolling forecast to suppliers.
Crosstrain to backfill a few others select areas in planning and/ or purchasing.

Job Requirements:

Bachelors degree in business or supply chain management preferred or equivalent work experience.
Must be E-Verify Eligible
Minimum 1-3 years of experience preferably in supply chain management planning orlogistics.
ERP experience and NetSuite are a Plus.
Self-motivated and self-managing with strong organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work closely with other parts of the organization.
