Coordinator ECI Transition Services

Role Summary:

The ECI Transition Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the overall success of the Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) program by ensuring timely and accurate transition notifications to Local Education Agencies (LEA) Head Start programs and other relevant entities in compliance with HHSC timelines. This position monitors coordinates and tracks all transition activities to ensure children and families experience a smooth and well-documented transition process. Through strong organizational skills attention to detail and collaboration with program staff the Transition Coordinator supports program compliance and contributes to the effectiveness of the ECI service delivery system.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or Board Certified Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of three years of experience working with a Texas HHSC Early Childhood Intervention Program
  • Minimum of three years experience in mentoring or supervising staff in an Early Childhood Intervention Program

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing administrative processes and ensuring compliance with program requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) Program including rules regulations timelines and reporting requirements.
  • Effective organizational skills with the ability to track maintain and process documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Proven ability to identify areas needing quality assurance and support the development implementation and monitoring of improvement measures.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal staff and external partners to support program goals.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to break down complex information ask insightful questions and synthesize data for actionable outcomes.
  • Effective project management skills including planning coordinating and implementing special initiatives.
  • Ability to design deliver and facilitate high-quality professional development for adult audiences both in person and virtually.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to influence others and foster positive working relationships both within and outside of the organization.
  • Collaborative results-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively with and influence others building strong working relationships.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability and initiative in completing responsibilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Work collaboratively with the ECI Director of Quality Assurance and Support Services to ensure effective organizational methods are in place for sending transition notifications to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and other entities within required timeframes.
  • Monitor chartwork to ensure all documentation requirements are complete prior to processing transition notifications.
  • Process all required documentation and send transition notifications to appropriate LEA contacts.
  • Maintain an up-to-date contact list of all LEA contacts in the service area.
  • Serve as a liaison between ECI and LEAs to foster strong collaborative partnerships.
  • Assist in identifying areas needing quality assurance measures and support the development implementation and ongoing monitoring of these systems.
  • Assist in planning and delivering staff meetings and trainings and participate in ECI Leadership and ESC Senior Leadership meetings.
  • Collaborate with other administrators to plan and implement services based on identified needs.
  • Foster collegiality facilitate team building promote high-level performance and build a common vision among staff with a strong focus on collaboration with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Comply with federal and state laws ECI rules and regulations State Board of Education rules and ESC Board policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate professional ethical and responsible behavior serving as a role model for the ESC.
  • Employ effective interpersonal skills and promote a positive caring work climate.
  • Contribute to recommendations for sound policies aimed at program improvement and support the ESCs mission and instructional philosophy.
