Were looking for a dynamic Director of Marketing & Storytelling to lead our efforts in sharing our mission and inspiring action.
Position Logistics
- FLSA:Full-Time Exempt
- Salary: $73000 - $85000 /annually DOE
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 hours/day shifts between the hours of 9am - may be occasional work hours in the evening or weekend to meet agency needs or to attend events.
- Work Location: Work will be primarily done from Camp Fire Alaskas main office located 161 Klevin Street in Anchorage AK as well as occasional work at all program locations - which includes School Age Program Locations (Anchorage & Eagle River) Camp Fireweed (APU Campus) and Camp K (Cooper Landing AK) This position will have the option for a hybrid work schedule (after 90 days) that will adjust to meet supervisor and agency needs.
- Reports to: Senior Director of Marketing and Communications
- Supervises: Marketing Coordinator & Marketing Liaison member when applicable

The Role
As the Director of Marketing & Storytelling youll be the heartbeat of our brands voice. Your work will weave together strategic planning innovative storytelling and community engagement to amplify our impact and increase awareness. This role offers a unique opportunity to creatively showcase youth success stories foster community relations and strengthen our organizations visibility all while driving mission-driven growth.
What Youll Do
- Develop and lead innovative marketing strategies that highlight our programs impact and community stories.
- Create compelling multimedia contentphotos videos written storiesto share across various channels.
- Direct and oversee social media content website updates and digital advertising campaigns to reach diverse audiences.
- Gather authentic stories from youth families and partners to effectively communicate our mission and impact.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners media outlets and stakeholders.
- Lead and manage external marketing vendors contracts and public relations efforts.
- Support recruitment retention and program development through targeted marketing campaigns.
- Represent Camp Fire Alaska at community events and public engagements serving as a passionate ambassador for the organization.
- Evaluate campaign success analyze data and adjust strategies to meet goals for visibility enrollment and community engagement.
- Foster a collaborative team environment and provide mentorship and guidance to staff involved in marketing efforts.
Who You Are
- A creative storyteller with a proven track record in multimedia content creation including photography and videography.
- Skilled in developing and executing strategic marketing plans with measurable results.
- Experienced in managing social media platforms digital advertising and website updates (WordPress Canva etc.).
- An effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Adept at building relationships within diverse communities and engaging stakeholders.
- Organized detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects with flexibility.
- Passionate about youth development community service and making a positive difference.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications or related field (Masters preferred; commensurate work experience will be considered).
- Minimum 5 years of marketing/communications experience with leadership and staff management experience.
- Extensive experience with digital content creation social media strategy and branding.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite WordPress and project management tools.
- Nonprofit experience is a plus.
