We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Automotive Controller to join our accounting team based out of our corporate office in Edmond OK. As a Controller you will assist in the overseeing of financial operations of our automotive business ensuring utmost accuracy strict compliance and strategic financial planning.
- Oversee aspects of financial reporting including monthly quarterly and annual financial statements with meticulous attention to detail.
- Conduct comprehensive cost analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic cost reduction measures.
- Direct accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger functions with precision and accountability.
- Develop and rigorously maintain internal controls to ensure strict compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with senior management to provide critical financial insights and support data-driven strategic decision-making.
- Manage and maintain professional relationships with external auditors banks and other financial partners.
- Provide authoritative supervision and mentorship to the accounting team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Maintain current knowledge of automotive industry trends and financial best practices to ensure the companys financial strategies remain at the forefront of the industry.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management preferably in the automotive retail industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles GAAP and automotive industry financial practices.
- Proficiency in automotive accounting software (e.g. CDK Reynolds and Reynolds) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with budgeting forecasting and financial modeling in the automotive sector.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining internal controls and ensuring regulatory compliance.
