Job Description
You will support attorneys in all phases of litigation helping ensure cases are managed efficiently accurately and on deadline. Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting and preparing pleadings motions affidavits discovery requests responses and other litigation documents
- Managing organizing indexing and summarizing medical records pleadings exhibits and large volumes of documents
- Coordinating scheduling and assisting with depositions mediations hearings and trial logistics
- Communicating with clients witnesses experts opposing counsel and court personnel
- Conducting legal research and fact investigation to assist attorneys in case preparation
- Maintaining case files tracking deadlines and ensuring compliance with court procedural rules
- Assisting in trial preparation: preparing trial binders exhibits and witness materials
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of litigation legal assistant or paralegal experience (or equivalent)
- Strong drafting skills: pleadings motions discovery documents
- Proven experience managing medical records: review summarization indexing
- Hands-on experience with depositions: scheduling transcripts exhibits
- Familiarity with e-filing systems case management software and document databases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized detail-oriented and capable of meeting tight deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
