Job Summary
Position: Mechanical Manager (Design)
Industry: General Contractor Design Engineering Construction M&E Project Management Projects: Commercial & Industrial
Location: Bangkok
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage mechanical design activities for commercial and industrial building projects.
- Develop and review mechanical system designs including HVAC plumbing fire protection and other building services.
- Ensure designs comply with Thai building codes safety regulations and client specifications.
- Coordinate with architects structural engineers electrical engineers and other stakeholders to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and design staff.
- Review and approve technical drawings specifications and BIM models.
- Conduct site visits to verify design implementation and resolve technical issues.
- Support project bidding and cost estimation processes with technical input.
- Liaise with clients consultants and authorities for design approvals and permits.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures for design deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical design work preferably in commercial and industrial projects.
- Possession of a Mechanical Engineer License (2nd Class) is mandatory.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and BIM tools (Revit).
- Strong skills in MS Office for documentation and reporting.
- Good command of English (spoken and written) for communication with international clients and consultants.
- Strong leadership problem-solving and project management skills.
