Role: Manager - Finance Mumbai
Experience: 8-12 Years
Salary: Up to 10-15 LPA
About the role:
The Manager - Finance is responsible for overseeing the organizations financial systems managing internal stakeholder relationships and providing timely financial information and reports to the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
A) Financial Management & Reporting
- Budget Management: Understand the financial needs of the organization and collaborate with the management team (Program & Support) to draw and manage the budget based on defined cost centers.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure that all budgets are directly aligned with the organizational strategy and long-term plans.
- Fund & Grant Management: Manage fund planning and ensure the timely submission of donor reports.
- Tracking & Control: Monitor funding status (Actual vs. Planned) and actively supervise cash planning management and cost control across the organization.
- Vendor Management: Effectively manage all vendors and ensure timely procurement for all verticals as per requirements.
- Reporting: Provide comprehensive financial reporting to the Director COO and Trustees.
B) Governance and Compliance
- Corporate Compliance: Liaise with Chartered Accountants and legal counsel to ensure the organization complies with all corporate governance issues and legal requirements.
- Documentation: Work with the Company Secretary to ensure all compliance legal documentation and MOUs are in order.
- Internal Audit: Ensure all internal policies and processes are strictly followed leading to clean Internal Audit Reports for all departments.
Experience and Qualification:
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of senior management experience overseeing business functions in a reputed organization ideally combining experience in both the Corporate and Not-for-Profit sectors.
- Qualification (Preferred): Chartered Accountant (CA) CA-Inter ICWA or CS. An MBA in Finance will also be considered.
Additional Skills:
- Independent Management: Must be hands-on and able to manage the role independently without a large team.
- Self-Starter: Ability to perform effectively with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently on short notice.
- Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and the capability to lead and relate to multicultural teams.
- Expertise: Proven experience in compliance auditing grant management contract development and due diligence.
- Execution: A proven ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously successfully delegate complete tasks and meet deadlines.
