Summary:
-
Perform safe and accurate assembly fitting drilling and riveting of structural parts and assemblies per requirements.
-
Read and interpret work orders blueprints sketches and operation sheets to determine assembly sequence and specifications.
-
Perform sheet metal layout fabrication and installation of parts and equipment.
-
Rivet and remove fasteners using proper tools without damaging structures.
-
Verify work for accuracy and ensure defect-free assemblies prior to inspection.
-
Train and assist teammates with blueprint interpretation and troubleshooting production issues.
-
Maintain accurate logs and records (MIR sheets DMTs CRABs PCOs etc.).
-
Align and assemble parts using jigs clamps and fixtures per blueprints or instructions.
-
Perform rework and repairs per DMTs MRRs and PCOs.
-
Maintain a clean organized work area and follow all 5S Lean and safety initiatives.
-
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
-
Properly use and return company tools and equipment.
-
Follow SOPs for operating ground support equipment.
-
Properly collect and dispose of waste fluids and materials.
-
Accurately record daily job charging and participate in shift turnover meetings.
-
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
4 years of related structural assembly experience
-
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred
-
Q-stamp preferred
-
Basic computer and shop math skills.
-
Ability to read and comprehend documents blueprints and scales.
-
Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
-
Skilled in close-tolerance work and use of special tools/equipment.
-
Ability to work with composite resins and materials.
-
Must be able to work any shift climb ladders and stairs work in confined areas and lift up to 50 lbs.
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
