Job Summary
Project Engineer Underground Wet Utilities
Were seeking a Project Engineer to join our growing team and support small to medium-sized Underground Wet Utilities projects across the Western United States. Youll play a key role in managing and estimating projects such as water sewer storm drain and utility replacements rehab work facility modifications distribution and mainline installationsall within a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage project deliverables including schedules estimates and construction plans while ensuring quality safety and budget goals are met.
Serve as the main point of contact with clients for all project activities.
Oversee subcontractors and suppliers issue purchase orders and manage subcontract agreements.
Support field operations and collaborate closely with on-site supervision.
Track and manage scope changes cost impacts and schedule adjustments.
Prepare project status reports forecasts billing and cash flow tracking.
Develop and maintain project schedules and documentation including turnover packages and as-built drawings.
Assist with estimating proposal development and business development efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
2 years of experience in underground wet utilities construction or heavy civil infrastructure (water sewer or storm drain projects).
Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
Experience with contract management CPM scheduling or Earned Value Management a plus.
Proficiency with estimating tools such as Hard Dollar preferred.
Ability to interpret drawings perform take-offs and negotiate pricing effectively.
